Excellence in Advanced Placement (EAP)

EAP is a for-credit program at Henry Clay, aimed to help students become acquainted with AP-style classes, work, and tests through a mentoring program. In the beginning of junior year, applicants can apply to become a mentor and if accepted, will be assigned a freshman mentee. These mentors and mentees are expected to meet an hour a week and mentors check up with teachers on how well the student is doing. The goal is to have more students sign up for AP classes in their sophomore year and do well through this relationship. Mentors also receive an advanced credit shown on their transcript.
